Join us for the 16th anniversary of The Charlotte Oktoberfest. This will be our second year at the NC Music Factory. We've taken everything you've loved about Charlotte Oktoberfest and made it better. Longer premium access time, more intimate festival space, premium craft beer selection, plenty of free parking, great food and lots of fun activities. This will be similar to past Charlotte Oktoberfest festivals, just crafted in the Imperial style.
Back by popular demand, our musical entertainment will be provided by U-Phonik and StellaRising.
Join 6,000 of your closest friends as we discover the world of craft beer without having to leave Charlotte.
The Charlotte Oktoberfest craft beer festival is a rain or shine event.
Due to the new location with its proximity to hotels and public transportation, No designated driver tickets will be sold this year.
Please drink responsibly. Special hotel rates are available from DoubleTree by Hilton Charlotte. Click HERE for more information.

Premium ticket holders get access to the festival an hour and a half earlier than general admission ticket holders (12:30pm as opposed to 2:00pm). For true beer aficionados, we hope that this advance admission provides a unique opportunity to meet the brewers, brewery representatives and homebrewers who make this festival possible, and discuss their craft.
In addition to getting early admission into the festival, Premium ticket holders will get the chance to enjoy one of many guided beer tours. The guided beer tours will begin at 1:30 PM and last approximately 30 to 45 minutes. Beer loving and knowledgeable staff will guide you along the way as you sample and learn about various styles pertaining to the tour theme. The themes we offer will surely help expand your knowledge and love of quality craft brewed beer. Signs just inside the entrance to the festival will announce the Guided Beer Tour themes and meeting location on the field for each. Possible themes to include: Hoppy beers, Belgium beers, Darker beer styles, Lighter beer styles, Beers made with fruit, and Oktoberfest / German beers. Each tour will be on a first come basis and will be limited to about 25 people.
Only 1000 Premium tickets will be available for purchase.
A note about not offering Designed Driver tickets to this year’s Charlotte Oktoberfest.
The decision to discontinue Designated Driver tickets was not taken lightly. We weighed the pros and cons very carefully and here are the main reasons why we made this decision:
- Unfortunately, when we offered Designated Driver tickets in the past, many patrons chose to abuse that privilege by drinking at the festival. That defeats the purpose of having them.
- Here’s what we’re doing to try to compensate for the lack of Designated Driver tickets:
We are now located at the NC Music Factory, centralized location in Uptown Charlotte, which offers access to alternative forms of transportation (visit our Transportation Page for more information) unavailable in years past.
- We’re working with the NC Music Factory to facilitate drop-off and pick-up locations to the festival.
- We’ve partnered with the DoubleTree, which is within walking distance of the NC Music Factory, to provide special rates to Charlotte Oktoberfest attendees.
Many of the craft beers that will be poured at the Charlotte Oktoberfest are considered high gravity (high ABV) so we urge all our attendees to take this into consideration when sampling. Plenty of water will be provided free of charge. Our goal is for everyone attending the festival to have a fun, safe day- so please drink responsibly.
This is a rain-or-shine event. No refunds will be given for any reason.
All ticketed attendees must be 21 years old or older - a valid state issued ID is required for admission. No one under 21 will be allowed in the festival due to liability.
Absolutely no concealed weapons are allowed - it's the law. Anyone found in possession of a concealed weapon will be immediately removed from the festival. No refund will be given.
No pets are allowed.
While blankets and small lawn chairs are welcome, no coolers or similar containers are allowed. No outside food or beverages can be brought into the festival.
We cannot guarantee that every beer and brewery listed will arrive as planned the day of the festival. We encourage all festival attendees to arrive early for the best possible selection of beers, as the most popular flavors will run out quickly!
